Our Personal Experience
As a family with a 5 and 6-year-old, I decided the night before to skip the early morning rush and avoid the long lines in the sweltering mid-July Tokyo heat. I had seen a lot of videos and photos on social media of guests waiting hours before the park opened. We left our hotel in Shinjuku around 8:30 AM and arrived at 9:45 AM, gaining entry to the park by 10:10 AM on a Thursday. Despite our later arrival, we were lucky enough to secure a standby ticket for Rapunzel’s Lantern Festival. Throughout the day, we regularly refreshed our app, which allowed us to snag a time slot for Peter Pan’s Never Land Adventure. This strategy worked well, enabling us to gain access to Fantasy Springs without having to wait hours in the heat.
Insider Tips for a Magical Visit
-
Download the App: Make sure to download the DisneySea app on your phone and load your tickets before you enter the theme park. This will save you time and help you manage your visit more efficiently.
-
Utilize the Map: Once you’re inside, immediately open your theme park map and click on any of the four rides in Fantasy Springs to check their availability and wait times. This will help you plan your day better.
-
Refresh for Opportunities: Keep refreshing the app throughout the day. Attractions like Peter Pan’s Never Land Adventure often become available until around noon, so don’t lose hope if you can’t secure a spot right away.
-
Arrive Early or Strategically Late: While arriving early can help you beat the crowds, arriving a bit later like we did can also work in your favor, especially if you have little ones that you want to keep awake until the Believe! Sea of Dreams nighttime entertainment show that takes place in the Harbor.
