Best Time to Visit
The best time to visit Kauai depends on what you are looking for and your preferences. Kauai has a tropical climate, with warm temperatures throughout the year and two distinct seasons: a dry season and a rainy season.
The dry season runs from April to October, with temperatures ranging from the mid-70s to mid-80s (Fahrenheit). During this time, you can expect sunny skies, calm waters, and ideal conditions for outdoor activities such as hiking, beach-going, and exploring the island’s natural attractions. This is generally considered the best time to visit Kauai.
The rainy season runs from November to March, with higher chances of rain and occasional storms. However, even during this time, Kauai still offers plenty of opportunities to enjoy the outdoors, and the rain often brings out the island’s lush greenery and waterfalls. If you’re looking for fewer crowds and lower prices, visiting during the rainy season may be a good option.
Keep in mind that Kauai’s weather can be unpredictable, and even during the dry season, there may be occasional rain showers. Additionally, peak travel times such as holidays and summer vacation can be busy and more expensive, so it’s best to plan ahead and book accommodations and activities in advance.

Resort Activities

The Pool Activities was one of the highlights of the trip for my kids was the free ice cream for participating in many of the pool activities. During our stay there were rubber ducky hunts, water slide races, balloon tosses, and water gun fights. There was probably more but we only participated in the younger age group ones.

There is a Koi Pond at the center of the resort. During certain hours the resort will supply small bags of fish food for the guest to feed the fish.
